How we created the Best Free Sample packs top-list

We went through all the sites offering sample packs as free downloads. We focused on specific genres such as EDM, Deep House, Trance, Progressive House, Trap, Dubstep, Techno & Tech House, and Synthwave.

Then, we downloaded & tried them out, and handpicked the 50+ best ones. This resulted in the list below.

In order to make it into the list, the packs must be:

• currently available to download for free
• useful for one of the specific genres of music listed above
• available in the WAV format at least, so that they are compatible with all major DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) like Ableton Live, FL Studio (Fruity Loops), Cubase and Logic Pro
