Driving Trance Basslines Vol. 1 For FL Studio
I think we can all agree to say that basslines are EXTREMELY hard to get right in trance music. When you’re trying to create a driving trance bassline, it’s especially difficult to get it to sound interesting, strong and powerful as well as sit tight against the kick and drums, and to give it a driving feel.
Eventhough it’s hard, there are quite a few tricks that instantly make your basslines sound better, and we wanted to offer a template package that sets you on the right path for your driving trance productions.
Aley & Oshay have created 3 bassline templates in FL Studio for Myloops (they are also available on our store for Ableton Live and Cubase), that nail the typical driving trance sound with rolling hi-bassline parts and the typical offbeat sub-bass. The content is 100% royalty free so the basslines can be used either as an educational tool or as a basis for your own tracks.
The beautiful part about these templates is that they sound great, eventhough they only use ONLY LennarDigital Sylenth1 and no other 3rd party plug-ins. We used the built-in FX plug-ins in FL Studio (Fruity Reverb, Compressor, Maximus, etc.) to process each track, so that you don’t have to buy any extra 3rd party plug-ins to use these templates.

Number 1 and 2 sound better than number 3. I was a bit surprised when hearing the kicks seperately. This goes for all 3 files. They don’t sound as full as they do with the bass layers on. Not that one would expect them too. But this was much more difference than I thought. However, the bass settings in the mixer are really interesting. Definitely worth checking out. I learned from it. The layering of sylenth1 presets are also really cool!

Driving Trance Basslines comes with three impressive files. As Hendrik said, they are a little bit different, but it is ok. In the packs from myloops there are a lot of unknown settings, which are worth to know. The basslines, you can not only use for Trance tracks. They are suitable for all musicians making electronic music with a harder style.

DRIVING TRAAAANCE BASS LINES !
Based on my expertise I was under the impression I had the bass and kick right, although it wasn’t incorrect but, with this pack it actually takes you into depth of how we can make the bass line and kick work more accurately together.
To be quite honest, I’ve learned a few very important factors from The Driving TRAAAANCE Bass Line pack. Definitely worth it if you wanna take you’re project to the next level.

3 great examples of basslines.
I found them to be a really valuable tool for learning to make new ones.
I would recommend them for your collection, good starting templates for new songs.
Also good to learn how to layer basses, and the effects/mixing settings provide a solid overview of the process.

The bass line is the foundation for all Trance tracks and having a supply of patters and midi in your library not only helps you understand how they’re made but also lets you focus more on the important aspects of your track like the melody and drums. If you want to know more about how trance bass lines are made and how different rhythms are used, definitely get this.

This pack is filled with useful techniques that are still valid to this day. Suitable for other genres too, one of techniques I use is to render several stems in fixed keys and then slice them and mix & match between them for wild variations.
