Designed by Sean Tyas
Sean Tyas is known for his high-energy productions and emotional melodies that have defined the sound of modern uplifting trance for years.
In this soundbank, he brings his experience as both a producer and sound designer to create presets that are musical, expressive, and built for real trance productions.
Drawing inspiration from both analog hardware synths and modern digital sound design, these presets combine warmth, character, and the clarity needed for today’s club mixes.
The result is a collection of powerful, versatile sounds built specifically for trance producers.
Core Sounds for Modern Trance Production
This pack covers the essential elements used in modern trance tracks:
• Massive trance leads for main melodies
• Driving basslines for energetic drops
• Emotional pads & plucks for breakdowns and buildups
• Acid sequences for movement and energy
• Punchy stabs and rhythmic synths
These presets work perfectly for:
• Uplifting Trance
• Tech Trance
• Progressive Trance
• Melodic Techno
• Psy-influenced Trance
• Mainstage EDM
Whether you’re building a full arrangement or just searching for the right melodic idea, these sounds are designed to sit well in modern mixes and inspire new tracks quickly.
Performance Macros for Fast Sound Shaping
Most presets include performance macros that let you easily shape the sound while producing.
Use the macros to control things like:
• Brightness and harmonic content
• Filter movement and modulation depth
• Stereo width and atmosphere
• Energy for drops and transitions
This makes it easy to add movement, automate builds, or adapt a preset to fit your track.
Built for Inspiration
The presets were tuned so they stay musical and usable across a wide range of settings, even when pushed harder with automation.
You can simply:
✔ Load a preset
✔ Play a melody
✔ Start building your track
And if you enjoy sound design, every preset is fully editable inside Serum, making it easy to tweak and experiment.
