Synthwave, also known as retrowave or outrun, is a music genre that emerged in the late 2000s, inspired by the electronic sounds and aesthetics of the 1980s. Rooted in nostalgia, synthwave evokes the era’s neon-soaked visuals, sci-fi movies, arcade games, and vintage synthesizers, blending these retro influences with modern production techniques.

The genre is characterized by lush synthesizer melodies, pulsating basslines, and driving drum machines, often reminiscent of classic analog gear like the Roland Juno-60, Yamaha DX7, and LinnDrum. Chord progressions and melodies in synthwave are often emotive and cinematic, evoking a sense of longing or adventure. Many tracks feature reverb-drenched pads and arpeggios, creating a dreamy, atmospheric soundscape.

The kits contain three folders MIDI, Wav & Presets, the Wav folder contains all the stems needed to re-create what you hear in the demo for that kit, and the MIDI folder contains all the MIDI files for that kit to change notes or sounds when you are creating your new anthem and the Preset folder contains all the spire presets used with the MIDI files for each kit.

The spire presets in this pack are FREE they are used as a starting point for each kit but may contain duplications or similar sounds.

About Presets In This Pack

Please note to beginners if you do not own the above VST Instrument the supplied WAV files are in each kit to be used instead of the VST instrument or you can still use any virtual instrument of your choice with your own presets or bought presets to assign the vst instrument to the MIDI files and create your sound, by all means, use the included VST Instruments presets if you have them royalty-free.
