ok so im not gonna lie I have never heard of Sonic Element but it got my attention when I listen the demo of the track and made me get into the tutorial and plus it was on cubase that I recently switch into cubase one more plus for me and so far its a great tutorial to learn new stuff I didn’t regret getting the full pack although it could be kind of cheaper especially on this covid situation we are all going through

So far so good! Lots of tips alone on how to use Cubase! As a new producer this has helped me learn one way of implementing the kick and bass to work well together.

this is fantastic and probably the best course i’ve followed for trance, for a few reasons. the biggest one is that all the sounds (except 1 bass layer but its easy to see what is happening in it due to how vital is displayed) is built from an init sound, so you can learn how to build a sound rather than just reading a preset, so if this is something you are interested in then you will take a lot in from this course. audio is also clear and easy to understand, both from the voice and from the music. it also uses free synths and plugins and i have to say i am glad that i came across the dragonfly reverbs, if you are used to the layout of the valhalla stuff then you will find it easy to work with those free ones.

Ok so honest review here, as a Cubase user and Trance producer there is actually not many decent tutorials out there, most I find are always for Logic or Fruity so a Cubase one is great news for me. I have been searching for years and I have some from some very high end producers that are good but you can tell that they just make a very basic song and hide all the quality they have for their own releases and so their tutorials are good but usually have quite a drab melody and lack that real quality you want in a trance track. This is the first tutorial that I can comment on and give 5 stars on because it is a very easy to follow tutorial. What I love most about this is the fact that it shows that you don’t need to go mad and have all the best expensive plug ins in the world to be a big trance producer and it proves you can make a Pro release from just basic plug ins and Cubase plug ins. I love the fact I actually like the song as well and I would easily buy this one if it was on Beatport and play it in a set. liking the song makes it much easier to follow and learn how the sounds are made. Very happy with this and good work Fotis, this is hopefully going to help me improve my productions so good work and thanks.

Totally worth it! Each video is concise and full of good tips. I was especially blown away by the amount of on-the-spot sound design he does to make custom sounds for the track. Very inspiring. Even as someone who doesn’t use Cubase, I recommend this to anyone looking for help on finishing tracks.

This serves as an awesome guide to get you going but do not expect an extensive mixing workflow, this tutorial is more of how to lay out a foundation of a mix with some basic mixing elements. The only thing I would like to see if Sonic Element makes a new tutorial is that he lets us into his true work flow of vst’s instruments, FX and mixing techniques he uses for his professional releases such as them on the Alter Ego label. Other than that this is a straight forward tutorial aimed more for beginners professionally explained and easy to follow.

It’s really good watching another producer going through the process, see what they’re paying attention to at each stage of the production. I learned a few things, a helpful walkthrough!

An excellent tutorial – clear, methodical, and immediately practical. I recommend multiple views, as there are little subtleties that may not “sink in” on first viewing. Many thanks, great work.

This is a fantastic tutorial that explains everything in a really clear way. I’d recommend it to both new and experienced musicians. Thank you!
