Greg Downey Energetic Trance Template for Logic Pro
If you are producing trance music on Logic Pro, this energetic trance template is for you. It was produced for Myloops by UK trance legend Greg Downey.
Unlike our Revelations series, this template will be available exclusively for Logic Pro. It is the exact track produced by Greg, using the same 3rd party plug-ins (synths and FX) that Greg usually adds into his productions. Please check the necessary plug-ins in the description below.
The track starts off with a strong kick and powerful percussion, followed by a driving bassline typical of this style of trance. Dark pads and plucks appear and reveal an uplifting chord progression. The dark feeling from the buildup then morphs into a beautiful and emotional chord based breakdown and energetic climax.
Studying this project file will give you great insight on the processing of individual channels & group channels, through the use of EQ, compression, delay, reverbs and more.
About the producer
Greg Downey is one of the names you think about when you think Energetic Trance. With releases on labels such as Discover Records, Perfecto Records and Vandit, Greg has been appearing on many big releases since 2006. Some of his tracks like “Vivid Intent” have been hammered on the DJ circuit. Featuring as Armin van Buuren’s “Tune Of The Week” on his radio show, A State Of Trance, It made its way onto Eddie Halliwell’s Cream Ibiza compilation in 2006 and was featured on Radio One more than a few times.

Great driving basslines, leads, pads and structures.
Those powerfull acid basslines are really mad and kicking. Much looking forward to use it in one of my techtrance arragements!
Actually I’m not producing with Logic but with Ableton so I’m taking and cutting the samples.

Really happy with this template. Shows a lot of examples and techniques which is really nice to see and learn. Highly recommend buying this to see how the pro’s do it. I don’t have some of the plugins that are used but most of the logic stock plugins are used which is very handy.

Template is getting bit old now i have T-Racks 5 and it would not pick up T-Racks 3 to look at mastering setting but maybe that was me.
