Driving Trance Basslines Vol. 1 For Cubase
I think we can all agree to say that basslines are EXTREMELY hard to get right in trance music. When you’re trying to create a driving trance bassline, it’s especially difficult to get it to sound interesting, strong and powerful as well as sit tight against the kick and drums, and to give it a driving feel.
Eventhough it’s hard, there are quite a few tricks that instantly make your basslines sound better, and we wanted to offer a template package that sets you on the right path for your driving trance productions.
Aley & Oshay have created 3 bassline templates in Cubase for Myloops (they are also available on our store for Ableton Live and FL Studio), that nail the typical driving trance sound with rolling hi-bassline parts and the typical offbeat sub-bass. The content is 100% royalty free so the basslines can be used either as an educational tool or as a basis for your own tracks.
The beautiful part about these templates is that they sound great, eventhough they only use ONLY LennarDigital Sylenth1 and no other 3rd party plug-ins. We used the built-in FX plug-ins in Cubase (Reverb, Compressor, EQ, etc.) to process each track, so that you don’t have to buy any extra 3rd party plug-ins to use these templates.

This is a good purchase for studying trance bass line assembly, as advertised, from the compositional standpoint, but, more importantly, the layering and mixing. All of the the bass lines sound good, the material is well organized. And the patches are useful. Very useful for demystifying the entire process.

Purchased this one without any regrets. The fact that it uses default FX-Plugins within Cubase makes it even more interesting.
Its nice to see such templates are making a comeback here at MyLoops! Hope to see more in the near future. 🙂
It sounds great and the presets included are fantastic. I highly recommend this package.

Definitely a plus to any trance cubase producer. It helps you understand the intricate motion of the sub, mid and hi basses.
At this sale price, it’s a no brainer ! You get three different pieces each with a character on its own…

Definitely a great way to learn how to create those driving basslines you love. You not only get the MIDI patterns and synth presets, but also some nice loops and FX as well. Very happy with my purchase and I’ll be back to grab some drum sample packs very soon 🙂

The first template in this set is excellent and has found a home in one of my tracks. The other two are also very decent. I had to turn the side-chain pump down on those two (personal taste). I can definitely work with all three of these templates, they’re solid foundations for mixes/ remixes!
And yes, as pencilvsink said, it’s fantastic that it uses the Cubase plugins – no hunting around for plugins!
