Ultimate FX Volume 1
We’ve talked before about the importance of FX sounds in modern production to help add sparkle to a track. This is especially important in Trance and Electronic Dance Music, where hints of rising and falling sounds can help punctuate sections of an ever-evolving arrangement. Ultimate FX Volume 1 is a download only pack from Myloops.net and has been produced by talented producers Jonathan Blakoe (a.k.a. Static Blue) and Richard James.
You’ll find over 460 sounds and loops categorised into Atmospheres, Descenders, Explosions, FX Loops, Noise FX, Risers and Tonal FX. The quality of production throughout is incredibly high, with multi-layered sounds and a glossy finish. The atmospheres feature deep cinematic ambiences with a sci-fi twist, and the descenders and risers combine a variety of synths and audio to break away from the standard white noise sweeps.

This library is clearly aimed more at the deeper side of electronic music and Trance as opposed to genres with more raw production styles where the polished sounds may stand out a little. That said, this could prove an invaluable FX resource for anyone wanting to add some sparkle to their tracks, whatever the genre.
